Standard Terms and Conditions for Supply of Goods and Services of Orwell Model Railways Ltd, of 48-52 Tomline Road, Ipswich, IP3 8DB.
1 Pricing and Payment
1.1 All prices on the website for goods that are in stock are correct at the time of publication.
1.2 Prices for goods that are out of stock are indicative only and subject to change without notice.
1.3 We are VAT registered and can only discount VAT from international orders, where the goods are sent to an address outside of the UK.
1.4 Orders placed are handled via Paypal, where their terms and conditions apply.
1.5 Credit/Debit card payments can be placed over the phone, we do not store your credit/card details in any way therefore this information will be requested for subsequent orders.
1.6 Payment for Goods and services can be made through the post using a Bank Transfer (details on request), Cheque or Postal order, we do reserve the right to wait until the the cheque has cleared prior to posting goods
1.7 We do not request payment for goods or services until they are ready to shipped back to you.
1.8 EU and Overseas Customers We do not charge VAT on goods sent out, you as the customer are the importer of the goods and may be subject to local import and duty charges.
2. Web site information
2.1 All diagrams, illustrations, descriptions and dimensions which appear in this website are approximate and are included for guidance purposes only.
2.2 Information contained on the website is correct to the best of our knowledge and based upon the manufactures own information. This information may be subject to change without our prior knowledge.
2.2 In line with our policy of continuous improvement, we reserve the right to make design or product alterations, or to discontinue any items as may be deemed necessary without prior notice.
3 Items out of Stock
3.1 If any item is shown as out of stock, when you place your order, it will be dispatched to you as soon as reasonably possible.
3.2 If an item is showing as in stock but we have insufficient items to complete your order we shall contact to clarify how you wish to proceed, we can either cancel your order and offer a full refund, refund only the items that are out of stock, send you on the items that are currently in stock with the remainder to follow or hold the order until all items are in stock.
4.Title
Title of goods supplied does not pass to the customer until payment has been made in full.
5 Returns
5.1 We regret that we cannot accept goods back for credit unless they are returned within fourteen days after their receipt, in their original packaging. We reserve the right to make a handling charge where goods of merchantable quality are supplied according to your instructions.
5.1.1 We regret that we can not accept goods back for credit if they have been specially ordered in and are not within our normally stocked product line.
5.2 If goods are found to be faulty, we must be informed in writing (either via Email or letter) and the goods returned to us with their original packaging, for either a full refund or replacement item.
5.2.1 If the goods have been modified in any way then we reserve the right to not immediately replace the item, but to send it back to the manufacture for repair.
6. Delivery
6.1 Goods are normally shipped using the Royal Mail, APC-Overnight or Parcel Force, any time scales provided for delivery are an estimate only, we shall not be held liable for any loss, charges or caused by a delay in delivery.
6.3 In case of short delivery or damage, the wrapping should be retained and you should inform our office within 3 working days of receipt.
7 Installation Services
7.1 All installation work is carried out to a reasonable standard with reasonable skill and care.
7.2 All work is guaranteed for 12 months following completion, however the guarantee is void if damage or misuse has occurred during that period.
7.3 We aim to complete standard portfolio work with-in two weeks of receipt, for non-portfolio work this will be longer, or where goods have to be specially ordered in.
7.4 Goods are returned in the protective packaging that they were received in, we can not be held responsible for any loss or damage resulting in improperly provided packaging.
7.4 Where we have provided an Estimate for services we aim to charge no more than quoted. However if before carrying out the work we discover that more work will be required, we shall contact you first to advise of suitable alternatives.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall affect the Customer's statutory rights as a Consumer.
